Licensed Funeral Director and manager of Caughman-Harman Funeral Home and Bush River Memorial Gardens. A graduate of Lexington High School and then a 1998 graduate from Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta G.A. A member of the National Funeral Directors' Association, South Carolina Funeral Directors' Association, South Carolina Cemetery Association and International Association of Pet Cemeteries . Brent is co-owner and president of Midlands Pet Crematory & Cemetery and the Little Brick Shirt House.

Brent is a member of Lexington, Irmo, and Lake Murray & Chapin Chambers. He serves as a committee member of the Lexington Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, South Carolina Sheriffs' Association, past president and a current member of The Lexington Jaycee's, is A Business Development Board of Advisors with First Reliance Bank and a Board member of the Lexington Beautification Association.

Brent is a member of St Stephen's Lutheran Church married to Amanda Corley Caughman and has two sons Joseph Hampton Caughman and Stephen Reece Caughman
