Background

Nick Sherfesee, Myrtle Beach Market President, joined First Reliance in April of 2007. Mr. Sherfesee is responsible for the expansion of First Reliance Bank into the Myrtle Beach market.  His primary responsibilities include growing the bank’s market share and locations within the Myrtle Beach area, recruiting talented associates, and acquiring and developing business and personal banking relationships. 

Nick Sherfesee, a thirty-two year veteran of banking, has spent the last thirteen years in Myrtle Beach as a Senior Vice President of a large national bank.  His career has included experience as President and CEO of two previous banks before coming to Myrtle Beach in 1993. 

Education

Mr. Sherfesee graduated from the Citadel, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Sherfesee has also received various professional certifications. He is a graduate of the University of Florida’s School of Banking and The Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Memberships

Since coming to the Grand Strand Mr. Sherfesee has been very active in the community including holding leadership positions in the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, March of Dimes, Waccamaw Housing, Long Bay Symphonic Society and the Rotary club.  As a result of his service, he has received many honors and awards including the 2006 Ann DeBock Leadership Award for service with the Chamber of Commerce.
