Lee Daugherty Named Vice President Of Community Banking June 15, 2005 FLORENCE, S.C. First Reliance Bank recently named Lee Daugherty, Vice President of Community Banking. Mr. Daugherty joined First Reliance in April of 2004. Prior to becoming the Community Banking Officer he oversaw the successful development and launch of the banks ACCESSLive Customer Care Center, the bank's communication system, and established communication standards. In his new position as the Community Banking Officer, Mr. Daugherty's responsibilities include overseeing the areas of Marketing, Product Development, Retail Sales, Service Excellence, and delivery throughout the organization. Before joining the First Reliance Team Mr. Daugherty served as an Account Manager at AT&T his duties included managing numerous accounts that produced more than $2 million in sales annually for the company. Prior to his employment at AT&T Mr. Daugherty held the position of account executive with BellSouth Corporation in the Digital Services field covering all of eastern South Carolina. Throughout his four year employment with BellSouth Mr. Daugherty generated $1.5 million dollars in annual sales. Mr. Daugherty is a graduate of Francis Marion University where he earned a BBA in Management. While employed with AT&T, Mr. Daugherty received numerous professional degrees through AT&T's World University in Englewood, CO in the areas of Advanced System Design, Professional Image, and Diversity in the Workplace. Mr. Daugherty is the Area Chairman for Ducks Unlimited, has previously served as District Chairman for Green Wing, and was also honored as the Volunteer of the Year by the city of Florence Recreation Department. First Reliance Bank is headquartered in Florence, South Carolina where it is one of the only locally owned community banks in Florence. In addition to its two Florence locations, First Reliance also has a presence in the Lexington and Charleston communities with plans to move into Mt. Pleasant.
