New Mobile Banking App Update On June 22nd

We have a new update of our mobile banking app that will feature an improved, modern app interface. Plus, we will no longer have a separate app for Personal and Business customers - everyone will be able to enjoy the same First Reliance Bank app!

The links to download our Android and iPhone apps will be available on the Online Banking Login page on June 22nd to make finding the app easier.

Read the instructions below to ensure you get the update to the latest version of our app. There are separate instructions for Android and iPhone users, as well as Personal and Business users. In the new app, you will be presented with new Terms & Conditions to use the newest application. You will also need to setup biometrics if you previously had that feature enabled in the old app.

Business Customers

On June 22nd, both Android and iPhone users will be required to remove
the old First Reliance Bank Business app from your device. Then, download the new First Reliance Bank app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. You will no longer use the app that says "Business".

Personal Customers

iPhone Users:

If enabled, auto-update will update the application without any action on your part; however, there may be conditions that prevent the update from happening. These conditions include device Wi-Fi, data network settings, or other circumstances that may require a manual update of the existing application.
To update apps individually using the Apple App Store app on your mobile device:

  1. Open the Apple App Store
  2. Select the Profile Picture (Person Icon in upper right corner)
  3. Scroll down to the Upcoming Automatic Updates
  4. From here, the user can opt in to update all available apps or scroll to your institution’s application and update it.

Android Users:

Android users will be required to remove the old application and download the new version from the Google Play Store on or after June 22nd. Here's the direct link to the app:

If searching for the Android app from a device that either has the old app, or previously had the old app, a common caching issue causes the old app to appear, but not the new one. If you are having this issue, use the direct link above.

If you are seeing the "Our Mobile Banking Solution has changed. Please check our website for more information" message in the Mobile Banking app, you should follow the steps above.

Text Banking Updates

In addition to upgrading our application, we will also be updating the number used for text banking. The new text banking phone number will be changing to 1-213-238-5061. You will no longer use the 96865 number for text banking.

STEP 1 - ONE-TIME VALIDATION:

  • Go to https://www.firstreliance.com/login/ or click the Online Banking Login button above.
  • You MUST verify your information to complete enrollment. There will be a link for consumers and a link for businesses to do so on the Login Page.

 

CONSUMER CUSTOMERS WILL NEED:

  1. Access ID = Please enter your existing Access ID.
  2. Social Security Number = Please enter your 9 digit SSN number. Do not enter a dash (-) or space.
  3. Account Number = Please enter any of your account numbers in full, with no leading zeros.
  4. Date of Birth = MM/DD/YYYY
  5. Zip Code = Please enter your 5 digit zip code.

BUSINESS CUSTOMERS WILL NEED:

  1. Access ID = Please enter your existing Access ID.
  2. Tax ID Number = Please enter your 9 digit TIN. Do not enter a dash (-) or space.
  3. Account Number = Please enter any of your account numbers in full, with no leading zeros.
  4. Business's Zip Code = Please enter your business's 5 digit zip code.
  • After you submit the information above, you will be asked to create a New Password for your account.
  • Then, you’ll enter your current email address and set your Security Verification Questions and Answers.

Once you have verified your information, setup your password and established your security questions and answers, you have completed the conversion process and will be taken into Online Banking.

STEP 2 - ACCESS ONLINE AND MOBILE BANKING

ONLINE BANKING:

How to access after one-time validation:
• Click on Online Banking Login above in the top menu bar.
• Login using your Access ID and the new password you created during the validation process.

CONSUMER MOBILE BANKING:

iPhone:

  • Uninstall the current app from your mobile phone.
  • Download the new First Reliance Bank app from the Apple App Store.
  • Click on the app and then login using your Access ID and the new password you created during the validation process.

Android:

  • Users will simply update your app from the Google Play Store. Once updated, login using your Access ID and the new password you created during the validation process.

 

BUSINESS MOBILE BANKING:

iPhone and Android:

  • Uninstall the current app from your mobile phone.
  • Download the new First Reliance Bank Business app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Click on the app and then login using your Access ID and the new password you created during the validation process.
