Robert Haile

Background

Mr. Haile joined the bank in November 2020 as Senior Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for financial management, accounting, accounts payable, and investments. He is a native of Charleston and alumnus of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (Finance).

Experience

With more than 19 years in financial services, Haile comes to First Reliance after serving as Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer for both Carolina Financial Corp and CresCom Bank in Charleston, SC, and as Controller for Crescent Bank, predecessor to CresCom.

Memberships

Mr. Haile has served as past Chairman of the South Carolina Banking Association Asset/Liability Committee. He has also served as a past Board member of the Exchange Club of Charleston and past Treasurer and Board member of the Coastal Carolina Fair, which has donated over $10 million to Lowcountry charities since 2003.
