First Reliance Bank Introduces Our NEW Digital Customer Service


It starts with FReDA, our digital assistant, who can answer your questions 24/7. Then, it continues with our online customer care specialists, who can chat during banking hours. They can upgrade from text chat to voice chat or video chat, screen share, and co-browse.

Have you noticed the new “Let’s talk!” chat bubble on our website or online banking? Or, have you seen the ”Live Help” chat bubble while reviewing your account in our mobile app?

First Reliance Bank is excited to announce our new Digital Customer Service. Our online and mobile support is easy to navigate, ask questions of, and get answers quickly. We are pleased to introduce “FReDA,” our brand-new digital assistant. So, click “Let’s talk!” and select "Chat," and FReDA can assist you whenever you have questions. If you need additional help, FReDA can connect you with a customer care specialist*. Once connected to a specialist, they can communicate with you through messaging, voice chat, or even video chat. They can even request co-browsing to see your screen to help you navigate our website.

If you have a general question, you can type your question and get a quick on-screen response. For specific matters regarding your accounts, cards, and loans, First Reliance will always verify your identity to ensure your account is safe. When your live chat has concluded, you can choose to receive a chat transcript for your records.

If you can’t make it to a branch but desire that type of personal connection, call us using your computer or electronic device and select Video or Audio. You will get a complete experience as if visiting one of our branches. You can see and/or talk to us using your device's camera and microphone (or just the microphone!)

How do I explore what Digital Customer Service has to offer? To start, click the “Let’s talk!” box found in the bottom right-hand corner of our website or online banking, then select:

  • Chat – Chat online with FReDA, our digital assistant.

If you have a more complex question or wish to speak with a specialist, select one of the other three options (during banking hours):

  • Video – Talk face-to-face with a specialist! (Use your computer's camera and microphone.)
  • Audio – Talk with a specialist through your computer! (Use your computer's microphone.)
  • Phone – Have a specialist call you! (Share your telephone number, and we'll call you.)

You can also access our Digital Customer Service from our mobile app. (Make certain your app is up-to-date.) Tap the “Live Help” chat bubble on the account pages or tap the “More” menu on the bottom right, then tap “Live Chat.”

*Our Call Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM. If you require assistance outside these hours, you can leave a message, and a Specialist will return your call during regular business hours.
